For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to write.
Lists, notes , plans, stories, thoughts written on the corner of a newspaper; ideas on the margin of a favorite book, or on page after page in personal journals.
Writing opens up my mind and my heart.
It’s the best way for me to get a straight run on the million of ideas that bump into each other in my brain.
Blogging is my ideal job — no schedule, boss, commute and no heels, suits or Spanx.
Also, no pay… the one big drawback.
Blogging also is a fun way to experiment with new technology.
I love trying to keep up with the digital world.
I have a journalism degree from Utah State University and a master’s of writing from Johns Hopkins University.
My first story was published in the Salt Lake Tribune when I was about 10 years old.
I’ve written one way or another ever since.
Blogging is the greatest outlet for a writer, especially for one that has more ideas than time like I do.
I love writing about life and all the things that anchor me in my life — my family, relationships, values, and everything in between that matters to me.
I enjoy memoir writing and digging into my past for good story fodder.
I never run out of interesting stories from my family life.
My family is full of wonderful rich characters who supply me with plenty of good material.
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you’ll come back often, stay and read awhile.
